Garage Sale Finds!

I haven't completed my weekly shopping trips yet so I thought for my super savings this week I would post a pic of the awesome stuff I found at the garage sales around the 46th and Indian Creek area (up North). For only $4 I was able to get 3 pairs of shorts, 2 short sleeved shirts, 1 long sleeved shirt, 2 books and pair of sandals!!!

We were desperately in need of most of this stuff minus the books. I just can't pass up books for only .10!!! The best part about the clothing is that most of it is either Target brand or Old Navy!

General Mills Deal

In my weekly Dillons post I tried the best I could to highlight this deal and since I went to the store already I thought I would give you a breakdown of how this deal worked for me. The Deal is buy any 3 participating General Mills items and get a FREE GALLON OF MILK! The participating items include GM cereal, Fiber One Bars, Nature Valley bars and Chex Mix bars. Here is the deal I did:

• Bought 1 box of Cinnamon toast crunch cereal
• Bought 1 box of Fiber One Bars
• Bought 1 box of Nature Valley Bars

Total=$8.00

My Super Savings for the week!

I visited both Dillons and Hy-Vee this week. I am going to highlight the best deals I got!

I took advantage of Dillons 1 day sale on Thursday and got some great deals! Be sure to see the other deals ending Tuesday here!

• 2 dozen Dillons eggs for only .79/1= $1.58
• 4 1lb. packages of Land O Lakes butter at 1.58/1=$6.32 ( I used .55/1 coupons found next these at the store in a blinkie machine to get these for only .58/1!!!)
• 24 oz (6 cup bag) of Kroger cheese=$3.00 (that is only a $1 per 2 cups... a 2 cup bag usually costs 1.87 or more at most places!!!!)
• 6 Yoplait yogurts at .58/1=3.48 (I used a .40/6 coupon combined with a .50/6 cellfire coupon to get all 6 for only $2.18 or .36 for 1!!!) **note this is a weekly deal**
  

My total before coupons would have been $14.38 but after coupons it was only $9.08, a savings of almost 40%!!!

I also did 1 transaciton as apart of the P&G saver event:

Total=11.98

Total for all this after coupons=$21.58! A savings of 65%!!!

Total for this week=37.33 and I still have around $12 to spare before meeting my $50/week goal. I think I might head to Hy-Vee if I have a time for the awesome price they have on strawberries and blackberries this week!

Serious Savings!

I think the coupon fairy was out today because I kept finding coupons all over the store! Not from blinkie machines, but from people who must not have wanted their coupons. So I ended up with more Pillsbury items than I planned, but hey they were FREE!

I got back $13 in catalinas for purchasing Pillsbury Products! (3 $3 off coupons and 2 $2 off coupons)

So I only paid .56 cents for all of that!!!! That is a savings of 99% or only paying .56 cents for 27 items!

***NOTE: I did my pillsbury products in 5 SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS. You only want to purchse a maximum of 5 pillsbury products in one transaction in order to gain the most out of the deal!!!***

My Savings this week

I haven't done my full shopping for the week but I ran to Dillons (Kroger) and ended up with some great buys! Make sure you always look for those Manager Special (MS) tags!

• 1/2 gallon of Milk on MS for .50 (usually priced around 1.80)
  
• Red Grapes=.99/lb.
• 3 bags of Kraft cheese=1.98/1 (I used .75/1 2% milk variety coupons to get these for only .98/1!!!)
• Dillons Eggs=.97/dozen
• Kroger fresh boneless chicken breasts on MS for 5.16. (This was a 3.5 pound package with about 7 breasts in it that was originally marked a little over $13!)
  
• 1 box of Honey Nut Cheerios (used .50/1 cellfire coupon combined with 1/1 coupon (from a mailer) and got this for only .17!!!)
• 1 lb. tub of strawberries on MS for .99! (these are usually $2 or more)
  
• 1 lb. tub of grape tomatoes on MS for .99! (these are usually priced at 2.99)
  

My total savings for the day on these items was around 50%!

I did another round for the Daytona savings at Dillons (Kroger) where you get $3 off your total when you buy 3 participating items. Here is what I got:

My Dream Week!

I don't usually do a Super Savings Saturday post but this week called for one! For a hair snob like me scoring 6 bottles of FREE Garneir hair spray (my favorite!) was a dream. Then on top of that I scored 6 FREE Ben and Jerry's ice cream! Pregnant (18 weeks for me) or not FREE Ben and Jerry's is always a good thing! This was all at Walgreens!

Those items alone totaled $36 before coupons. After coupons it was all FREE! I also got some other great deals this week too! Be sure to check them out!
