Hy-Vee coupon book

When you visit Hy-Vee be sure to pick up their new coupon book. In it is Hy-Vee specific coupons and there is a coupon for a FREE RED BOX RENTAL!!!

These are usually located at the front of the store where the ads are.

Hy-Vee 3-day Sale!

Don't forget about the Hy-Vee 3 day sale going on that started yesterday and ends Saturday. Be sure to check out the other great weekly deals here as well!

Hy-Vee 3 day sale, March 5, 6, 7
  • 3 lb. packages of 80% lean ground beef=4.98 (1.66/1lb.!)
  • Hy-Vee garden salad=.68/1 (beats Aldi price of .99/1)
  • Hy-Vee boneless chicken breasts=1.79/lb.
  • Hy-Vee canned fruit=.88/1 (beats Aldi price)
  • 64 oz of Hy-Vee orange juice=1.28/1
  • Midwest county fair bags of frozen veggies=.77/1 (beats Aldi price of .95/1)
  • Hy-vee or Midwest county fair baking mixes (muffin, pizza)=4/$1 or .25/1 (stock up!)
Also I didn't post this Wednesday because the deal seems a little shady to me. Also apart of the 3 day sale Hy-Vee is advertising a chest freezer this week on sale for $199. In one part the ad says when you purchase one you will receive up to $200 in COUPON SAVINGS. In another part of the advertisement it says this:

"Purchase chest freezer and receive up to $200 in FREE product" Then they post this
  • $199.00 Freezer
  • - up to $200 in FREE product
  • = free freezer...
So the ad is super UNCLEAR about whether or not if the coupons are for FREE product or for just $$ off products. If it is for $$ off product I would not consider this a free freezer since you don't know what the coupons are for, when they expire and if you will use them. Now if the coupons are for FREE product then sure consider it a free freezer.

Please let me know if you any more info about this deal and the legitimacy of it. Thanks!

Grands Biscuits:
  • Serve with jelly for breakfast along with some yogurt and fruit

Bring Back the Coupons

It just recently came to my attention that Red Plum is deciding to pull their coupon inserts from Sunday papers in various states and mailing them to targeted areas instead. While this is not affecting the state of Kansas yet, it could soon.

The problem with Red Plum doing this is that many of the actual coupon users are not receiving coupons because they don't live in the "targeted mailing area." Red Plum is encouraging coupon users to use printable coupons from their site, but as we all know there are not nearly as many internet coupons available as there are paper.

If you want to know more about this issue, or live in a state that just recently stopped receiving the Red Plum insert in your paper please visit this website here. Visit the links and find out what you can do to help bring back the coupons!

Kroger Comfort Wipes Deal

In the past few weeks you may have gotten a Dillon's (Kroger) mailer with baby specific coupons in it. One of those coupons is for $5 off when you buy 3 Kroger Comforts wipes tubs. Here is a great deal you can do:
  • Buy 3 tubs of Kroger Comforts wipes (80 ct.) at $2.19/1=$6.57
  • Use $5/1 coupon
Total=$1.57 for 3 tubs of wipes or .52 cents each!!!

*Note: The Kroger Comfort toddler wipes (small packages) are on sale 10/$10 use $1/1 coupons found on product packages or out of the mailer to get these FREE! I was actually able to pick up some packages with the old Comforts logo for .79 cents on close out. With the $1/1 coupon these gave me .21 cents overage!

An Even BETTER Diaper deal!

I posted my original plan to pay $9.99 for a Jumbo pack of Pampers and a Mega pack of Playskool diapers at CVS here! To my surprise a CRT for $5/$20 CVS purchase printed at the coupon machine for me this morning. So here is what I did instead geting 2 Mega packs for less than my original plan!
  • Buy 2 Playskool Mega packs (I bought size 3=60 diapers... stocking up for the new one)=22.00
  • Use $5/$20 CVS purchase CRT (Playskool is CVS brand)
  • Use $3/1 Playskool diaper CRT
  • Total OOP=$14.00
You get $5 EB back for Purchasing $20 worth of products so your real total is $9.00 for 2 MEGA PACKS of diapers or $4.50 each!
