My New Favorite Blog!

I have to share that I have a new favorite blog and it isn't even about money saving... seriously! Before I tell you what it is I figure I might as well give you a little background to myself and why this blog has quickly become a favorite.

In 2004 I graduated with a B.S. degree from K-State in Family Life and Human Services. Basically that means I took a whole lot of classes about family life theory and child development theory. After I graduated I worked for Early Head Start in Manhattan, KS. My job there was to work with low income families and their children helping the parents provide the best possible environment for their children to grow and develop. Needless to say it was a rewarding job and I gained much insight from it!

That being said my 2nd love apart from couponing is education for the years of 0-5. I love finding great activities to do with my 2 year old that I know is helping him learn! So when I stumbled upon this blog I became very excited and wanted to share it with you all! It is called confessionsofahomeschooler.blogspot.com

This mom has developed a great blog with super fun and easy ideas to do with your children whether you home school or not! I would not say that I officially "home school", Seth is only 2.5 after all, but I definitely am always looking for fun activities and crafts to do with my toddler... especially now that we are inside a lot more since having Levi.

And on a coupon note don't forget that today is the last day to load the current cellfire.com coupons to your Dillons (Kroger) card... you can do that HERE!

Make Your Own Baby Food!

Our little Levi is 5 months old now and I have started introducing cereal and soon enough it will be on to fruits and veggies. I am not sure how many of you out there are in my boat but I wanted to share with you an awesome baby food making website!

It is called Wholesomebabyfood.com. I love this site because it tells you exactly how to prepare and freeze and use homemade baby food. I did this with my 1st one and I know WE SAVED A TON OF MONEY!

This summer I actually anticipated the baby food making season I would enter and bought fresh fruits when I knew they were at their rock bottom prices. I simply peeled, cut them up and froze them in ziploc bags. In the next few weeks I will be pulling those bags out and preparing baby food for Levi.

I brought this topic up specifically this week because there are great prices on fresh fruits and veggies this week that are perfect for making your own baby food! If you are in the baby food stage or will be soon and need to save a little cash consider making your own baby food and be sure to check out the great deals at all 3 stores this week.

If you have any questions about baby food making or more questions about how I do it please feel free to email me at thegroceryweekly@gmail.com.

Reminder: Toy Coupons!

I wanted to remind you that there are many toy coupons for print HERE!

Be sure to print the Silly Suite Case Potato head coupon and the Swing and Score coupon and then visit this post HERE to find out how to get them for only $5 at K-Mart!

Or you can print the Hasboro Activity Ball coupon and see this post HERE for how to get this possibly for only $6.21 at Target!
