BIG NEWS!

Nope no baby yet... but I do have BIG NEWS!

I have been trying to confirm some things with Walgreens customer service about their RR program that I have been having some troubles with. In the midst of doing so tonight the polite customer service man let me in on some info I wasn't aware of.

Starting in July Walgreens is rolling out a whole new rewards program and getting rid of the RRs. I just about jumped for joy as he told me that they would be doing a program similar to CVS with a rewards card and EVERYTHING! He even assured me it was supposed to be better than CVS... it might be to good to be true! If you have other info regarding this new program be sure to let us know!

So I hope that brings a smile to your week since the deals are a little slow at CVS and Walgreens.

Also don't forget to check here to see if you are able to print more high dollar Kraft coupons... I was and they don't expire for another month! These will likely no longer be printable after tomorrow so be sure to print them NOW!

Coupons reset?

I went to print some coupons here this morning and noticed that previous coupons I had reached my limit on were available for printing AGAIN!!!

It might be worth it to check it for yourself real quick. Click here and see if you can print more high dollar Kraft coupons!

Hy-Vee coupon policy

It has come to my attention from several of my readers that Hy-Vee now has a new coupon policy. I know many of you have also had issues in the store using internet printable coupons so I want to give you some info about this.

Kerri over at Southeast Iowa Deals did a great post about the new Hy-Vee coupon policy. You can read it here! Be sure you go their so you can read the entire policy for yourself.

Here are just a few highlights to be a ware of from the announcement Hy-Vee made regarding their coupon policy on 5/14 regarding internet printables:
  • Manufacturer coupons that involve any kind of free product will not be accepted, including “buy one, get one free” offers.
  • No coupon that exceeds $2.50 will be accepted.
Take note also on any coupon:
  • Coupons that exceed the price of the item will not be accepted. (I assume this goes for .99 items that you $1/1 coupons for.)
Now 1 reader was told by both cashier and store manager that she could not use more than 1 internet printable per transaction. From looking over their announcement this is inaccurate information since Hy-Vee states that the will accept 1 MF coupon PER ITEM!

My recommendation is to follow the guidelines in their announcement but keep a copy of the coupon policy with you as you will certainly experience more difficulties using coupons at Hy-Vee... bummer!

Stay tuned as I will post again on how you can kindly voice your concerns about this to Hy-Vee. For now understand that this is not a store management decision but a corporate one so there is nothing the management in Topeka can do.

Starting Tomorrow!

One of my favorite events of the summer is starting tomorrow at the Topeka library, May 27th. It is the Summer Reading Fest! I love this program because kids of ALL AGES can participate... yes even your newborn or young one that cannot read on their own yet.

Tomorrow from 9a.m.-11a.m. or from 1p.m.-3p.m. you can take your children to the auditorium of the Library to participate in crafts and activities to help "kick off" this event! You will also get your reading log so you can starting keeping track of how much you read to your child or how much your child reads on their own this summer!

I of course love this program because it promotes reading, but also because there are COUPONS INVOLVED!!! The way this worked last year is that for every 4 hours of reading completed you could take your reading log in, have it stamped and then be rewarded for the hard work with coupons! Some of those coupons were:
  • Free Kids meal to Carlos O'Kelly's
  • Free Kids meal to Applebees
  • Free Kids meal to CiCi pizza
  • Free kids ice cream at Cold Stone
  • Free ice cream cone from McDonalds
  • Free Pretzel to Aunt Annies in the mall
  • Free Chick- Fil-A kids meal
I know there were more but those were the ones I could remember off the top of my head:) I am sure the coupons will be different this year and the anticipation is killing me!

Happy reading!
