Catalina Issues

I have had a few emails and comments pertaining tp the Dillon's catalinas not printing for Nature Valley and Betty Crocker deals.

What I do know is that I did the Better Crocker deal yesterday and I got my catalina so up until yesterday the deal was still on... I am not sure of the date these catalinas end. If your catalina did not print it could be have been because the cashier's machine was out of paper or not working. I have had this happen to me several times. When this happens I explain to the manager what happened and they usually just give me cash for the catalina I should have gotten or they write me a rain check to get so much off my next purchase (whatever the amount of the catalina should have been.

Unfortunately some managers don't always know about the catalina deals and don't understand what you are telling them. I haven't had to deal with those managers yet so I am not sure what to tell you if you get a manager that tells you there is nothing they can do. I am really not even sure if there is a place you can call or if Dillons customer service will know what you are talking about.

Let me know you thoughts on this... have you had issues too? If you have how were they resolved?

Dillons: New Catalinas

There are .40/1 Fruit Shapes coupons on coupons.com and smartsource.com, and there are cellfire coupons for the fruit shapes. There are .50/2 Fruit Roll-Up etc. coupons on coupons.com and there are some on cellfire as well.

The price on the Fruit Snacks in the store ranges from 2.48-2.99.

Nature Valley Granola Bars:

Runs 8/14-9/6
Buy 3 get a $1.50 catalina,
Buy 4 get a $2.50 catalina,
and buy 5 or more and get a $3.50 catalina.

The price on the granola bars=2.87 Below is the deal I did:

• Bought 4 boxes=11.48
• - FREE coupon from Dillon's mailer=-2.87
• - 2 .40/1 coupons printed here=-1.60
• - .50/1 coupon from recent inserts (for the nut/chocolate variety)
• -2 .40/1 shortcuts.com coupons
• - 1 .50/1 shortcuts.com coupon (for the nut/chocolate variety)
• - 1 .50/1 cellfire coupon

Total OOP=$4.21 and I got a $2.50 off catalina back making my real total only $1.71 for all 4 boxes! That is only .43/box!!!

3 cans of formula for a $1!!!

If you are in the baby phase of life you might be curious to know how I got 3 cans of formula for only a $1. When I have a baby I make sure I sign up at all the formula companies websites to get their coupons in the event that I might need to use formula. In the past few months my mailbox has been full of them so I put some to good use.

Nestle Goodstart sent me $11/1 can of formula coupons and I knew I would be able to get some cheap formula. When I was at Dillons the other day I noticed that the small cans of Nestle Goodstart formula (regular kind) were only 8.97. I knew right away I could get at least 1 can for free and then I saw that there is a catalina promotion going on until 8/9/09. When you buy 3 cans of Nestle Goodstart formula you get a $3 off your next purchase catalina back. So here is what I did with the coupons I had:

• Bought 3 cans of Nestle Goodstart at 8.97/1=26.91
• Use 2 $11/1 formula coupons/checks=-$22
• Use 1 $1/1 formula coupon/check=-$1

Total OOP for 3 cans=3.91 and get $3 back making all 3 of these cans only .91!!!!

Even though I am not planning on needing formula, I may end up using it. Even if I don't I can still give the formula I don't use away to friends!

Dillons: Kraft Mac and Cheese Deal

I have been informed that there is currently a catalina for Kraft Delux Mac and Cheese or Velveeta Shells and cheese.  When you buy 2 you get a catalina back for $1 off your next purchase! Considering we have access to some great Kraft printables here is a deal you can do:

• Buy 2 Kraft Delux Mac and Cheese or Velveeta shells and cheese currently priced at $1.65/1=$3.30
• Use 2 $1/1 coupons found here

You will pay $1.30 OOP  and get back a catalina good for $1 off your next purchase making these boxes only .15/1!!  I don't think you can beat that!
