Lets talk TP

Okay so I don't know about most of you but my family just used up our LAST ROLL of FREE toilet paper we were able to stock up on this past year because of the awesome Cottonelle/Dillons deals!!!!

I have been scouting out good toilet paper deals because it looks like we are going to have to start paying for it:( The best deal I found so far was at CVS about a month ago. They had their brand of TP on sale for $5.00 for 12 double rolls.

What great TP deals have you found? Please feel free to comment with insight and suggestions as to what a good price would be to pay for TP!

I don't know about a good price for the cheaper options, but after using the free TP and trying some of the fancy TP when it was on sale I now get the fancy stuff.

I buy the 24 double rolls of the red packaged (heavy duty I think)Charmin at Walmart for $12. This price is similar to what I see for the store brands on sale most of the time, and the TP is much higher quality and it has smaller packages inside so I can split it up between the two bathrooms.

I am sure people can probably get it for cheaper with coupons and sales, but unless a similar high quality product is on sale for less, I buy at Walmart.

I like the Quilted Northern at Sam's. 36 double rolls for $16 or $17. Not quite as good as the CVS deal, but it's somewhere I already shop.

I have been shooting for well under $.50 a roll for decent quality double rolls, or under $.25 for singles. Sometimes Walgreens has a special of the week at the front of the stores that will match up well with a coupon, but I sure miss free Cottonelle!

All I know is that I will never, ever buy Scott TP. Used some good coupons on it a few weeks ago... NOT worth it. That stuff is paper thin.

We just used our last free roll, too. I'm kinda sad.
I might just go for buying large quantity at Wal-Mart too.

I just bought the Charmin and Cottonelle on sale at CVS this week. It is $12.99 - $3 eb = $9.99 for 20 double rolls and the limit is 3. I had two $1.00 off coupons from mailers (1 for Charmin and 1 for Cottonelle) and a .50 mf for Cottonelle from the paper. I stocked up on the CVS paper towels also, using a $2/$10 CRT. Along with everything else I bought, I was able to use a $7/$49 CRT and a $5/$30. Plus I had a ton of ebs to roll. I'm a big fan of Charmin and Cottonelle. I normally wait until there is an eb deal, and stock up then. CVS has often had deals for "Spend $20 on P&G, get $5 or $10 eb back" and that's when I typically max out the limit and stockpile.

I found this theory on a blog post once and thought it was pretty good: http://dianehopkins.blogspot.com/2009/06/tp.html
