Sausage Egg Scramble recipe and price breakdown

I apologize this is getting up kind of late! Here is my own little made up breakfast for dinner recipe that we eat often!

Sausage Egg Scramble: serves 4
  • 1/2 roll of breakfast sausage (I usually only pay .50/roll with coupons)=.25
  • 8 eggs (1 dozen is around 1.30 these days)=.87
  • 1/2 medium onion diced=.25
  • 1/4 cup cheese=.25
  • 3-4 medium potatoes cut into "breakfast looking potatoes"=.75
Dice potatoes into breakfast potatoes and place them on cookie sheet and coat them in Pam spray. Cook for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Beat eggs in bowl and add milk if desired. In the mean time cook sausage and drain. Add eggs and onion and scramble with sausage in skillet. Melt cheese on top. Place desired amount of scramble over desired amount of cooked potatoes.
Serve with fruit.

All together this meal costs me around $2.50 to make or around .65 a serving!
