Also I am wondering your thoughts on Dillons vs. Hy-Vee. Would you say that you are able to find things for a better price at Dillons or Hy-vee on a regular basis?
Remember the best way to support this blog besides your readership is to continue using the coupons.com widget found here. If you would like to see deals at other grocery stores be sure to visit the BeCentsAble Grocery Gathering here!

There is a .55 off Q for the Pilgrim's Pride Chicken out there.

I find that the Hyvee brand items tend to be better deals than Kroger brand in general. I don't coupon very much, so we get store brand more often which is a big factor. Of course I live in Lawrence and we have a no-frills style store that we shop at most often because they have the best prices on meat and produce.
Hy-vee has better specials if you're not counting the double coupons at Dillons. Otherwise Dillons with the double Q's. Hyvee has Trans Ocean crab products for B1G1 at $2.99, plus there is an IP for $1.00 off these.
Also there is a Unilever food promotion. (details on pg. 16 of the on-line only ad) I did it yesterday and got a catalina for $5.00 on next Hyvee visit. I used 2 $2.00IP's on 2 bertolli Oven Bakes, and two .75 IP's on Wishbone Dressing. I'm not sure if it counts after coupons or before, because I also bought the Klondike bars as a special treat. (and without a coupon--oh my!)
I usually find Dillons deals more worth it to me, then Hyvee. But I also think for me that is dependent on the location of Hyvee. It is way across town from me - so a deal has to be really really good for me to consider a trip there.
