My Weekly Trip- Aug. 22nd

I shopped both Dillons and Aldi this week. Be sure to check here for more great savings from this week!

Dillons:

• 1 speedstick deoderant marked down to .99- used .75/1 doubled coupon to get this FREE!
  
• 2 Kotex 22ct. pads marked down to .99- used 2 1/1 coupons and got both FREE!
  
• 2 1/2 gallons of whole milk on MS for .50/1=1.00
  
• 2 packages of Dillons hot dog buns on MS for .49/1=.98 for both!
  
• 2 6ct. packs of yoplait kids yogurt cups on sale 2/5- used $1/2 mf coupon combined with the $1/2 shortcuts.com coupon and to my suprise the shortcuts.com .75/2 gogurts coupon came off also! I got both packs of yogurt for 2.25, that is less than the price of 1!
  
• 1.5 lbs of fresh peaches (4 total)=1.82
• 1 box of Cheerios on sale for 1.99- used 1/1 paper coupon combined with the .50/1 shortcuts.com coupon=.49!
• 2 packages of Kroger brand cream cheese=2.00
• 2 small packages of Fresh express salad on MS for .49=.98 for both- used 1/1 coupon to get both FREE!
• Folders gourmet whole bean coffee (hazelnut cream-yum!) on close out for 3.62-used .75/1 coupon doubled to get this for 2.62!
• 2 bags of Kroger brand tortilla chips=2.00
• 2 pace picante sauces on sale for 1.95=3.90- used 2 .75/1 coupons doubled to get both for 1.90, or .95/1!!
• 1 1/2 gallon of Turkey Hill tea=1.00- used 1/1 coupon to get this FREE!
• 1 bag of Gerber yogurt bursts=2.69- I have a coupon for a FREE mail in rebate for this product (found at K-mart) so it is really FREE!
• 1 package of Mission tortillas on sale 2/3- used .50/1 coupon doubled to get these for .50!
• 1 can of Private Selection black beans=1.00- used shortcuts.com 1/1 coupon to get this FREE!
• 2 1 dozen cartons of Dillons eggs=1.98
• 1 package of Dillons baby carrots=1.69-.35/1 coupon from Dillons mailer=1.34
• 1lb. of sweet potatoes=1.32
• 1 package of Kroger celery on MS for .99
• 1 package of Kroger grape tomatoes on MS for .99

I was also able to use a 1/$5 veggie purchase coupon as well! Total after coupons and tax was 28.94. If you subtract my FAR coupon it takes it down to 26.28 My reciept says that I saved 63%!!! If you calculate in all the other items I bought on MS it would be much more! Note: check here to see how you can get yoplait kids yogurt for .13/6 ct. pack!!!

Aldi:

• 1 bag of Bananas (7 total) marked down to .25 (a few are edible still, but the other will be used to make Banana bread- yum!)
  
• 1 10lb. bag of potatoes =3.69
• 1 3 cup bag of cheese=2.99 (this up from the previous price of 2.79! I noticed this wasn't the only "staple" item to increase)
• 1 package of brown sugar=.99
• 1 2 ct. pack of green peppers=1.29 (this beats the Hy-Vee price this week!)
• 1 Avocado=.99 (I have come to love guacamole!!!)
• 1 bag of onions=1.49
• 2 lb. carton of green grapes=1.98 (this beats the Hy-Vee price also!)
• 1 package of hamburger buns=.79
• 1 package of wheat bread=1.19

Total after tax was 16.88

My total for the week was 43.16... a little over budget but I am anticipating not spending my full budgeted amount next week since I am pretty well stocked!
