Hy-Vee: GM DEAL MONEY MAKER!

Well it looks like Hip To Save has a great deal idea for the General MIlls Cereal deal going on at Hy-Vee this week. Check it out HERE!

REMEMBER that our Topeka store DOUBLES coupons on Tuesday! I would wait until then to get an even better deal!

Just got back from my Hy-vee and I was a little disappointed. They had Multigrain Cheerios on sale for $3.50 per box and Fiber One cereal for $3.99 box. After the $10 coupon it was about $9 total (w/ tax). $1.50 isn't a bad deal, but it wasn't as AMAZING as getting free cereal or a moneymaker! I also got the $6 catalina, which I turned around and used for my next transaction. I suppose if you count that it was .50 per box. Again, I would have preferred free, but our family goes through a lot of cereal and I bought the slightly healthier kind, so it was a bit more expensive than some of the other ones. I don't know what has happened to me that I think 50 cents is too much to pay for cereal. ha ha ha!

I got 3 boxes of multigrain cheerios with three .75 mf coupons. I got the bigger boxes (16.2 oz.) that were on sale for $3.79. Big box of Lucky Charms (16 oz. was $3.00 and a box of Count Chocula and Franken Berry were $2.50 each. Used a $1.50/3 mf for those.

After the $10 discount and $6 catalina, it made the Lucky Charms a .16 MM, the Count Chocula and Franken Berry were both .66 MM.
The multigrain cheerios were .38 each.

The way I figured it, was that with the $16 off, buying 6 boxes would make it a $2.66 discount per box. So subtract $2.66 from whatever price you see on the shelf. Then look at your coupons, and see if it's a good deal from there.

Any cereal that is priced at $2.50 (Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Trix, Golden Grahams, etc.) will be .16 MMs even without any coupons.
